The Special Care Center, licensed by the Virginia Department
of Social Services as an Assisted Living Facility, is designed
and structured to offer individuals diagnosed with Alzheimer’s
Disease or related dementia illnesses, a safe home-like setting
while providing excellent professional care. There are 23
private spacious apartments, each with a full bath; residents
may furnish their apartments with their own furniture and
personal belongings. Family members’ input is essential
in identifying daily activities for their loved ones. The
purpose is to maintain the quality of life of each resident
by providing individualized programming to facilitate the
highest level of personal success.
At the present time, limited direct admissions are available
into this level of care. Residents pay a daily rate without
the cost of an Entrance Fee. Contact the Marketing Office
