Opportunities for residents to volunteer their time and talent within Cedarfield’s retirement community are limitless. Approximately 200 active volunteers provide services at Cedarfield on a regular basis, and there is always room for more people and more volunteering ideas!
Additionally, we welcome individuals from outside the community as well. Individuals of all ages* are encouraged to participate.
Cedarfield Volunteer Opportunities
The Hermitage at Cedarfield sponsors a Junior Program that provides young people the chance to help out in a variety of volunteer services, particular (but not limited) to summer months. A minimum age of 14 is required to become a junior volunteer. For more information, contact the Volunteer Coordinator at (804) 474-8802.
Resident LifeThere are many ways to become involved in a retirement community like Cedarfield.
Cedarfield has a very active and energetic Resident Council, which represents the entire Resident Association. The Council provides communication among residents, Cedarfield Administration and volunteers.
Serving on a committee is another way residents can play an active role in supporting their community. Whatever meets your interest, there is a committee that is right for you. Activities, Communications, Dining, Religious Life, Library, and Welcoming are just a sample of the various committees that work together with Administration to offer ideas and creative suggestions that will continue to enhance the lives of all Residents at Cedarfield.
