ALZHEIMER'S & DEMENTIA CARE

The licensed Special Care Center is an assisted living level of care designed to offer a safe, comfortable and homelike atmosphere for residents diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease or related dementia illnesses. There are 23 private apartments (with full baths) which residents may personalize with their own furniture and personal belongings.

Plans for daily living and group activities encourage personal success for each resident. Residents are encouraged to become involved in activities that promote a sense of accomplishment.

Whether assisting with planting flowers, filling birdfeeders, or having a manicure, routine tasks are transformed into activities that are not a part of a daily schedule. However, music, art, occupational therapy, social gatherings and physical fitness  are all incorporated into their day. Opportunities are also provided for independent activity as well as one-on-one interaction with the staff.
